New Mexico Software Reports Results of Annual Shareholder Meeting

Company Expects Strong Third Quarter

Albuquerque, NM, October 6, 2005 -- New Mexico Software (OTC Bulletin Board: NMXS), a leading provider of next-generation digital lifecycle management solutions, said that the company expects revenue in the third quarter to be higher than any previous quarter in the company's history. Several new changes were finalized during the annual shareholders meeting, including changing the name of the company from NMXS.COM to New Mexico Software. Also the state of incorporation was changed from Delaware to Nevada.

At its annual shareholder meeting Sept. 30, CEO Dick Govatski said that revenue for the quarter is expected to be approximately $628,000. The company expects to file its quarterly report, Form 10-Q, in a timely manner then report final quarterly operating results.

In other action at the meeting, shareholders approved:

Changing the company name to New Mexico Software from NMXS.COM

The re-election of board members Dick Govatski, Teresa B. Dickey, John E. Handley and Frank Reidy

Changing the state of incorporation to Nevada from Delaware

Increasing the authorized number of shares of common stock to 200 million from 50 million

Retaining Epstein, Weber and Conover, PLC as the company's independent auditor for the year ending Dec. 31, 2005

Bruce A. Stabile, president of New Mexico Software's Health Care Division, said, "X-Ray on Wheels is a welcome addition to the XR-EXpress family. In a few short days, the system was set up and the staff was trained, operational and reaping huge benefits from the service. The company quickly incorporated the workflow capabilities of the system into the operation. X-Ray on Wheels is using the full functionality of the system, providing its customers' enhanced deliverables and a new level of services to health care customers. New Mexico software is committed to X-Ray on Wheels' success."

Also at the meeting, the president of New Mexico Software's medical software business, Bruce Stabile, demonstrated the XR-EXpress System. This system enables the simultaneous sharing of X-ray, MRI and CT scans among medical professionals in geographically separate locations.

Rafael Rubio, vice president of technology and product development, demonstrated the latest release of Digital Filing Cabinet, the company's premier product, which includes companion document scanner software. Among other features, this new release combines high-speed scanning of documents into fully searchable portable document files (PDFs) with archiving and management of the digital documents.

Govatski said, "We are excited about our company's latest product releases. We have hired additional sales personnel and are in discussions to open sales offices in Chihuahua, Mexico and Orlando, Fla."
