New Mexico Software Enables Offsite Backup Solutions

Albuquerque, NM, January 5, 2006 -- New Mexico Software, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NMXS), www.nmxs.com, a leading provider of web-based digital and paper management solutions, announced today that it has extended the capabilities of the company's Digital Filing Cabinet, or DFC3, to provide secure offsite backup service for small and medium-size businesses.

The DFC3 now includes a client application, Batch Uploader, which enables customers to automatically upload identified files and folders on Windows machines to the DFC3 during off-hour transfers. Using secure web connections, the Batch Uploader provides an intuitive user-friendly method of transferring crucial files and backup images to an offsite server to help prevent potential disasters.

Troy Lapsys, president of New Mexico Software Server Products, said, "Enabling offsite backup capabilities is a logical extension of the hosted DFC3 benefits. Because the product is easy to use and available from any browser, the DFC3 allows customers to retrieve their information and files anywhere, anytime from a cost-effective and secure environment." Lapsys continued, "We look forward to continued product and service innovations over the coming year to constantly add value to our clients. Offsite backup is but one of many forthcoming innovations."
