Application Minute FAQ
1. What is an Application Minute?
An Application Minute measures the amount of time we spend processing a request in the DFC3. They are counted in milliseconds that add up to minutes over a month’s time.
2. If I login to DFC3 for 8 hours but do nothing with it, am I charged for 8 hours of Application Minutes?
No. Since we only count the amount of time we spend processing your requests, you would only be charged for the time to process the login which is much less than the time it takes to blink your eye once.
3. Do you charge by the gigabyte of storage or transfer? Do you charge by the user?
No. With DFC3 Application Minutes the storage, bandwidth, and users are always free.
4. Does anyone else charge like you do?
Yes. All public utility companies charge the same way we do for electricity, gas, and water. You pay for exactly what you use according to a meter. Only our meter counts Application Minutes.
5. How many users can I have on my system?
You can have as many as you'd like. The system counts Application Minutes for each user so we do not put any limits on the number of users you can have.
6. How many concurrent users can I have?
As many as you'd like. We don't believe in cost per seat charges the way other companies charge.
7. How do I know how many minutes I've used during the month?
You can check your Application Minutes meter in the reporting section of DFC3. We can also notify you if you are nearing your plan minutes and protect you from excessive use.
8. Do you offer backup services?
Yes. We offer TORC Online Backup. TORC Pricing is based on the same Application Minute pricing as DFC.
